Burnt Store Marina Golf Club
Course Rules
- Players are expected to be properly attired: collared shirts for men;
women can be without a collar if the shirt has sleeves, or without sleeves
if the shirt has a collar. No jeans allowed. Same rules hold for
youths.
- No coolers of beer and soda allowed.
- Rangers should be circulating around the course continuously. A
typical round of 18 holes should take 3 hours and 15 minutes. The
times will be monitored.
- Starters will ensure foursomes are started on their assigned times.
They are not to start groups ahead of their assigned time.
-
Signs on selected holes indicate cart paths
only. The holes in this category are: Heron, 2, 4, 8 and 9; Osprey 1, 2,
3, 4, 5 and 8; and Pelican 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6.
- There will be blue stakes at both the tees and greens to indicate where
carts with handicap flags are allowed to park. All other carts are to
be kept on the paths around tees and greens.
- Singles and twosomes will be paired up when the course is busy, at the
discretion of the pro shop manager and the starter.
- Walking the course is permitted after 2:00 pm only. The course to
be played will be assigned by the pro shop manager and the starter.
- Use of the golf practice facilities; Heron putting green, chipping green
and trap are limited to members and paying customers. The cart barn
personnel should be sure to shut down the ball machine at the end of their
shift.
- A valid driver’s license is required to operate a golf cart.
- Only two riders and two golf bags per cart. Each player must have
his/her own set of clubs.
- Tee times are available two days in advance for non-members, 7 days in
advance for members
- Starters have the right to alter course assignments.
- Golfers who stop between nines for an inordinate amount of time (ie,
lunch break) will lose their right of way.
- For members with a couple membership and trail fee – if one is using
their private cart, the other (if necessary) can use a club cart at no
charge. A member without a private cart must pay the daily cart fee
whether they ride with someone in a private cart or use a club cart.
- To protect the golf course, it will be highly encouraged to reduce the
number of carts used on the course. For non-members the number of
carts per foursome will be limited to two, and for a twosome, the limit will
be one. Members with their own private carts will be encouraged, but
not required, to pair up to save wear and tear to the courses.
- No ball hawking on the course.
- There will no groups of 5 or more allowed on the course at any time.
- All carts need to back in the cart barn by a specific time (to be set by
Manager).
- A league will include a minimum of 16 persons/4 tee times. This
will allow standing tee times. After 3 times of not having the
required number of players, it will be required that they call ahead for
their tee times. This will be included in rules/policies to be handed
out and posted in both the men’s and ladies’ rooms.
- Special golfing events will be handled by the Handicap Committee.
- Chits will still be used for prizes for the Club sponsored league play.
