Casino
Cruise – The Casino Cruise is rescheduled for March 25th. The cost
is reduced to $15.00 per person and you will receive $15.00 in casino cash, a
hot buffet and bus transportation. Please sign up at the Community Center.

dance class – Line Dance classes have been scheduled for April 3, 10 and
17. The cost is $5.00 per class and registration forms are in the
Community Center Office. Sign up now and learn some dances and get some

Portraits – Professional Portraits will be taken at the Community Center on April 7th. Samples are on display at the Office. The cost is $24.95 per person. These could provide wonderful keepsake gifts for family or a way to keep your image in the homes of children and grandchildren. Check them out at the Community Center and register. Tuesday – Our Linkside Cafe will be having every week ... "TACO TUESDAYS". Featuring build your own
Beef Tacos, Mini Chicken Burritos, and Chips and Salsa for $7.95. This is
an all-u-care-2-eat buffet. We will also have buckets of 4 Coronas for
$10.00, margarita for $4.25, or try a Bacardi Majito for $2.75. So please
put aside Tuesday 5-8 PM to join us.

special evening dinners – Beginning Friday Night, Sept. 14th the Linkside Cafe will begin serving dinner on the 2nd Friday of every month and offering some of your old favorites. Reservations must be made in advance and tickets must be purchased in advance. Reservations are available every half hour from 5PM until 8PM.

KARAOKE DINNER DANCE – Get out your dancing shoes, tune up those singing voices and plan on joining us at the Linkside Cafe on Thursday Night, August 23rd for our next Karaoke Dinner Dance starring George the DJ and all of our local undiscovered (and not so undiscovered) singing talent!! Tickets will be on sale beginning August 1st at the Linkside Cafe, and you can reserve your spot now by calling the restaurant at 637-6405! Remember, when making a group reservation you must give us the names of everyone in your party. Tickets are $21 per person and must be purchased in advance by no later than Saturday, August 18th!! This event always sells out so get your reservation made early! Please be prepared to choose your entree from the below list when purchasing your ticket:
1. One Half Roasted Chicken with Mashed Potatoes and
Gravy, Chef's Vegetable,
accompanied by a Caesar Salad.

coming attractions – Here are some items that are being planned for the Community Center.
October 13th a Lecture and Book Signing combined with a Wine & Cheese event is in the organizational stages to be held at the Community Center. Local author, Randy Wayne White will be the featured lecturer and book signer. Additional details will be forthcoming as soon as they have been determined.
A local post office location at the Community Center office is in the process of being initialized. As soon as details have been coordinated, we will announce the opening.
Basket Craft and Decorating class is being organized to be held in the Community Center starting this fall. Specific details will be available soon.
Crochet classes are being planned to be held in the Community Center starting in the fall.
A class in Italian cooking is being planned. The class will probably be able to accommodate 10 persons. The cost and dates are being determined.
A class in Thai cooking is being planned. The class will probably only accommodate 10 persons. The cost and date will be announced shortly.
A lesson in hors d’oeuvres combined with tasting and beverages is being planned. As soon as details have been decided, it will be announced on the web page.
A Northern Italian cooking class is being planned. Participation will be limited. Once the date and costs have been determined, it will be announced.

Donations Needed – The Community Center is looking for donations to make the meeting locations and library set up possible.
If anyone has a large table (perhaps folding 6 foot table) and some folding chairs they are willing to donate, we would use these in the small meeting/craft/game room at the Community Center.
The Community Center is looking for a couple of small book cases that could hold books for a “Lend and Loan Library” to be set up in the administrative office area.
