The Golf Club Restaurant area also serves as a Community Center for the Burnt Store Marina community. The arrangements for using the Community Center are handled by a BSM committee. The following paragraphs provide announcements of upcoming activities:

investing income seminar – On June 26th, Bob Nuckols will offer an Investing for Income seminar that will include a PowerPoint presentation, live demonstrations, and one investment that is relatively safe and currently yields 14% plus. Check out the flyer for more information.
driver education – The AARP Drivers Education Class will be offered on two consecutive dates, June 23 & 24 from 8:30-12:30. Check out the flyer for more information.
internet Investing Seminar – On June 19th, Bob Nuckols will offer a seminar on Investing over the Internet where the commissions charged are $10 vs. the $250 charged by full service brokers. Check out the flyer for more information.
painting class – Accomplished artist, Mickey Brown, will conduct an oil painting class on June 6th. Check out the flyer for more information.
Change coming – Please notice: after May
28th all activities will be only for Activity Members of the new
BSGAC. After that date sign up for activities will be by membership number
as issued on the Activity membership cards
dance
lessons? – Interested in ballroom dance lessons? Register your
interest at the community center office. If there are 10 couples who would
like to learn for $50.00 per couple, we will schedule classes. (3/15/08)
cpr
training? – Would you like to learn First Aid and CPR? If so,
register at the Community Center Office and we will schedule a class. We
need 16-20 registrants before we can conduct a class. (3/15/08)
